I've been macbook-less for almost one week now, and I hope that I'll be getting it back tomorrow. plenty of things have happened, if you know them. lucky you. hahah. heh.
second week of school and the assignments are starting to flow in. Year 2 is just so much different. its like you are even more expected to know that to do and you are expected to know what is expected of you, okay, if that even makes any sense to you. gah.
Camera & Lighting seems fun, all the Cinematography and stuff but the first assignment seems complicated. I've got no idea how to start and what to do for the storyboard.
Linear Editing. Started on editing already, for the assembly for some footage that sucked totally. heh. Got to look at editing from a whole different perspective, a whole lot different from the editing from Location Production.
Audio Post Production. just a matter of time before I get a hang of Pro Tools and I'm going to make sure I'll score well for this module. I mean like audio editing has always been meant for me. Almost all the projects that I've worked on, I've been doing almost all the audio, so yeah.
Film History. just looking to do my best simple as that. started on my podcast even though its due in week 14 and now its just week 2. learnt from the mistakes that I made in Intro to Film.
nothing much is needed to say for Soc Psy and IS.
I guess the next time I'll do a update will be when I get back my mac and when I have the time.
till then
(:

alrights, close to two whole weeks since I last updated. plenty of things have happened, but I guess I'm just going to do a quick rundown on what has been happening.
had the one and only meeting for Flying Dutchman after the trial camp, and we had to settle everything. skit to the cheers to the t-shirt and all, and naturally, we ended up playing, having fun away. managed to go through the mass dance a couple of times though, kinda finalised the skit stuff and placed the order for the t-shirts.
screw the IS enrollment. I mean am I not paying the same amount of school fees as my other classmates/coursemates/school mates? Why am I not allowed to choose what I want? just because I flung one module does not mean I cant choose right?! yes, I failed an IS module, for some really stupid reason. some group mates I had, like seriously. am not going to say anything much.
last minute changes to the GLs meant that I had to 'chase' them for money for the shirts cause it was super last minute. and never am I going to collect the money again, not if its a round sum. $16 per person was enough to kill me, especially when most of them transferred the money to me and I had no idea who did and did not transfer, cause in the end I was short of $16. collected the shirts and they were such a disappointment, cause the person gave me the t-shirt size is ladies cut, so when the guys wear a M, it looks like a freaking S/XS, but it looks perfectly normal on the girls! gah! and the printing of the front and back. it was like so out of place and so small. I'm so going to make the changes and order directly at the shop when I place the orders for the freshies and the GLs again! gah!
lugging an oversized crumpler, with two shoe bags and bag of t-shirts is not fun, especially when you're going to Clementi from Katong. that was what I had to do to get to camp after the service on sunday. hmmm, camp was a blast! had a great time! Flying Dutchman FTW. thumbs up to those who worked so very hard for the camp, the prog comm, log comm people and the committee. FD's flag is NICE! the night walk for the station that I was at was kinda of a failure cause it wasnt exactly that scary. gah.my subgroup - Morgan had a great time with the amazing race, like finally saw the true colours of my freshies. and also some how the freshies for my family just suddenly 'woke up' on the first night, like after we got all types of abuse from the other two families cause our flag was stolen and cause we were using whistles. gah! well, ultimately, at one stage of the camp we had all three flags with us, thats including ours. damn happy cause I did have the thought of stealing both their flags at the same time! wohoo~! okay that aside. to summarise up, the mass dance was great, the games were great, the face off for cheers were even better and the performances by all the GLs and freshies were fantabolous to the max! new friends made and all, and new names for me - the macdonald's kid and the gatsby person. gah! oh wells, what to do. typical camp stuff.
post camp meet ups were expected. random meet ups just for lunch and macbook/macbook pro gathering. whatever you call it.
Back to back service on Thursday night and Friday morning, not before heading to settlers cafe at Clarke Quay with the rest of the youth after the service on Friday. 2 hours there, had a great time. a little too short though. Music practice on saturday for Sunday service was good. the praise and worship on Sunday itself was better. For once, no baptism on Easter Sunday. gah. got the P&W recording immediately after service and listened to it. the whole praise and worship sounded like it was one of the better few in recent weeks or even months.
sorry that its just all too wordy. all the pics that were taken at camp are uploaded on facebook. over a thousand were taken, so happy browsing.
