once again, I apologise for the lack of updates. have been real busy.
I'll try and update briefly as much as I can from from, err, last Saturday.
Last Saturday, went down for music practice as mentioned. came back and rushed through the cell video. completion + exporting + emailing to my cell group leader = sleeping at around 4am decided to be lazy and not burn it to a cd and to play it through my thumb drive. bad decision.
Sunday, went down to church, first thing was to test the video clip and the stupid windows based computer can't read the format. tried with another laptop. a slight improvement. the video can be played but the audio can't be read cause its in mac format. I mean, how stupid can that be?! I've exported everything from FCP and its just a .mov file and yet the audio track is still in m4a. -.- ended up using a super impromptu sound track from my bro's ipod(technically his, even though its my library) and surprisngly it fitted in quite well, even though all the audio editing > gone down the drain. oh wells.. maybe I'll consider uploading it. its not exactly a good production, cause there's poor camera handling(I didnt take those bad ones) and I kinda rushed through the ending, so there's no proper ending. hmm.. I'll seriously consider.
went down back to school(can't remember which day, but it was one of the week days) to meet up with the rest of the people from my group for FMS FOC 09, followed up on the meeting from the previous friday. Finalised some of the cheers, brainstorming for the 3-5 minute item and also the our flag design. got to know all of them better, thats for sure. a whole bunch of crazy people, like seriously! haha
went for the trial camp on Friday and Saturday. like went through almost everything about the camp. had quite a good time. the much time spent bonding even more with my fellow GLS, giving sugestions for the games and actually having fun playing some of them, and omgoodness! the mass dance. its like so nice, and dance steps are not bad but the thing is that its super fast and once you miss one part of it, the whole thing is gone. like seriously. hahah. saw the npsu camp, happened to talk to one of the gls who's my friend, and its just so irritating and frustrating; at the way they handle things, at the way they work. no, I'm not going to mention any more details. okay, that aside, I can't wait for the actual camp! I hope its going to be a whole lot of fun!!! (: (: (:
well, like what I've said. just a brief update. got to get some sleep already and someon's chasing me to go sleep. tsk tsk! haha, alrights. goodnights (:

my apologies for the lack of updates(yet again, yeah I know) been quite busy for the past week. will update when I have the time to do so. in the mean while, I got to get some sleep. *swollen eyes* (no, I didn't cry)

Thursday Friday Saturday
Home alone for three whole days, been online for almost 24/7. with super irregular meals. I think I only had two proper meals in those three days, if not I'll just be grabbing a piece or two of bread and some nutella just to fill up my stomach for that particular point of time. Sleeping only when it's past 4am. I took someone's advice and tried to sleep early; my early was supposedly 2:30am, but I only went off at 3am and I spent 1 hour trying to fall asleep. It's like, put it in way, errr, I'm sleeping but yet I still can feel that I'm not sleeping. Not exactly a complete shut down of the body when one goes to sleep and for no apparent reason, I woke up at 5:30am and it felt like I slept for damn long, ad I've got no idea why did I eat and then back to sleep after that. Oh wells, I guess I've got around 3 weeks to tue back my sleeping hours, not counting the time where I'll be having the orientation camp.
My initial three day plan for the cell video. Day 1(Thursday) - Start choosing what I want/need to use and maybe start on it. Day 2(Friday) - continue from where I left off on Thurday. Day 3(Saturday) - to spend the whole day finishing up the video - exporting and all.
But it wasn't to be. Why??
Let me tell you why. Did what I wanted to do on Thursday and Friday, but come Saturday, one message just spoilt my plans.
'Can you play the drums for this week's service?'
Nope, I am not supposed to be on duty this week for drums. Was suppose to cover for the sound and I agreed with my P&W leader like last week that I'll be covering for the sound system, but for some apparent reason, the other two drummers can't make it and it isn't like my church has a shortage of drummers. my service has got like 5 drummers from a congregation of around 60-70 odd people. So two drummers can't make it, my brother is one of them(even though he has been stuck to his guitar) and he's overseas and the other drummer is used to playing the bass already, so which means I had to go down for practice, which also meant that I lost at least 3 hours, in which in 3 hours, a lot could have been done for the video. apart from the lost of time, it was also a waste of money cause I had to cab down, just in order to reach on time, cause I was asked like one hour before the practice started and I would need one hour to go down to church if I took the bus. so yes, that was $14 gone, plus surcharge and all.
-sigh.
Friday. Friday wasnt a particular good day for me. Got back my results, and they arent very good. If you know how I did, good for you, if not just leave it the way it is. I'll just say this much, a couple of B, C, D and F. gpa is below 2.0 failed the most unlikely of modules. enough said. I was still feeling alright when I first saw my results, as I was kinda expecting it(I have my own reasons, not that I'm being a pessimist), but when I was on the train, heading down to City Hall to meet the rest of the GLs from Flying Dutchman for a meet up, I just broke down. I just felt that I had to tell someone; not that those who knew earlier didnt know the details of my results or what. but its more of like in a sense where, you know you tell this certain someone about it and you just feel much better, if you get what I mean. I just found myself msging my brother, who at the point of time was at Malacca, and Yanxiu. just a couple of msges brought about a change of mood and also with a timely reminder with this msg that my brother replied me 'You didn't get into this course by your own strength'. my prediction of at least 7 modules next sem, bring it on. I'm all ready and prepared to face all of you!
-I'll stop here for now. going to grab some sleep, and besides I've got to start sleeping earlier eh.

my apologies for the lack of updates. been doing nothing much and sleeping at unearthly hours and waking up in the afternoon. around 4am has been the time that I have been getting to sleep, but there have been times where I hit the 5am/7am mark.
Sunday. headed down to church alone as brother was away for camp, and I got a shock when I reached church, cause they changed the sound system even without informing us. told Pastor that I needed at least 10-15 mins to figure out everything, but he gave me less then that, so just went along with it. I was practically trouble-shooting the sound through out the whole P&W. trying to figure with aux out goes to where and why there's no signal to the recording and all. headed back home with eugene, nelson and teng li.
Monday. headed down to school to meet Sally first before going down to Euminl's place to celebrate her birthday. the apparent plans to play games failed cause most people were not interested. ended up going to the pool side with Sally, Zane, Ali and some of their dpa friends and played cards, heart attack and murderer. and for no apparent reason, Euminl started throwing water bombs at us and what did she get in return? she got dunked into the pool three times, twice by me (: and she did try to get me into the pool, but she failed. cutted the cake around 10, left at 11. and found yet another person that stays in tampine - Marinne, and yes that's her name.I got a shock of my life when I found out that 22 was no longer in service, thank goodness there was 65. by the time I got home, it was close to 12:50? and it was also the first time that everyone was sleeping already, my parents and brother. did the transfer of photos to my mac and decided to sleep.
spent Tuesday and Wedesday uploading the photos onto facebook and also tagging them. tagged those within my limits and left the rest for the others. its practically crazy once thet start tagging, cause its like a mass spam. I was away from my mac for just 20 mins and I came back, only to see 99 notifications on facebook, and its all the tagging. and what's the lesson learnt? don't help your friends take photos at their birthday parties! haha kidding. went for cell on Wednsday night, and came back with some really lousy footages cause had to do some video for church, and without audio. I told my brother to off then sound that the camera has when it starts and stops recording, and you know what he turned off? he went to turn off the audio input. marvellous. so I've got to figure out a way to make use of those footages and still pictures which I took. ended up sleeping at 5am.
Thursday. Parents left for couple camp. they're conducting it. Brother didnt come home cause he's gg to Malacca on Friday. practically spent my whole day online, facebook and what nots. and also started working on the video, even though it has no head or tail. I'll still see what I can do, going to squeeze out all my brain juices and come out with a decent 3-5 mins video clip.

glimpses of similarities. does it always has got to be the same. makes me wonder.

came back from KL two days back. the trip on the overall was good as the word 'fun' would not be the right word to be used. it was really more of spending family time altogether, rather then a holiday, at least to me. 3 days there, just nice as my brother needed to be back on Wednesday night for a meeting and my dad needed to be back on Thursday for work.
I guess I'll let the photos do the talking even though I've uploaded them on Facebook already, plus a little of captions of course.
Day One
stayed at this hotel. apparently its a 4 star hotel, but the service was bad and the rooms are not consistent, cause my parents had to change their room cause their room's air-con wasnt working properly. its like the size of the beds, toilet layout are all different?!
went to Times Square - KL, and its like huge, total 10 levels, bigger then Vivo.
and they freaking had an indoor amusement park. my brother and I initially just wanted to go for the roller coaster ride, but its like charged per entry and besides it was Malaysia's school holidays and the price of the tickets were more expensive. like make no sense, shouldn't it be like during school holidays, it'll be cheaper. oh wells, in the end, gave it a miss. No kidding!
A freaking 360 in a shopping centre!
saw this while walking back to the hotel. the shot is a little boring isn't it?
and with a little bit of editing, photoshop.
International Buffet at Shangri-la for dinner. initially was supposed to stay there, but so coincidentally, the three days that we were going there, they were fully booked cause they had so corporate having a conference there
something like Ice-cream Chef, but the fillings were very limited. its like basic ice cream toppings, nuts, chocolate rice. etc.
The food there, its like, fantastic! Sashimi
the cheese were like, soooo nice! just a pity there was no wine.
TWO huge chocolate fountains.
after the dinner my dad made a detour to KLCC for me to take some photos.
I like! (:
the flare is taken on purpose.
some more editing to enhance the colour. it's even nice isn't it?
Day Two
went to another shopping centre which was some where behind the hotel? went to this shop which sells almost all the imiation watches. its like the original prices of the original brands can cost up to $1000-$4000, but the imitations were not that cheap also. some were okay, costing around $80 plus, but it could go up to like $300-$400, and they look damn real. like seriously orginal

this is just 1/5 of the whole shelf. just imagine there are how many boxes there!
dropped by some 'higher class' shopping centre, but its not really considered higher class in Singapore. Its just Malaysia I guess. haha. hees.
saw an Apple shop and the Macs on displayed so decided to play around.
opened Photo Booth and yes, thats my dad. Photo Booth (:
In less then 3 mins, all three photos were sent via bluetooth to my dad's phone (: Mac FTW! hahaha!
couple of flowers I saw while waiting for the traffic light.
and this HUGE McDonald's M!

and they had this, errr, banana pie?!? and some of you might know. I'll try ANYTHING with banana, of course it has to be edible. haha
it tastes like, err, banana. i find it just normal, nothing fantasticc about it.
Shangri-la for dinner again. this time Japanese food. it was a little pricey though. its like one bowl of rice costs $3.50 ?!??! but the food there is GOOOOD!
and they had this HUGE wine bar! its like you when you are walking into the restaurant, you are surrounded by all the wine!

this time round, went to KLCC for me to take photos. had very limited time though, its like I spent only around 20 mins cause my parents were waiting in the car. knowing that I can easily spend 2-3 hours there. oh wells.
my brother took the following few photos.
I know I look werid. was like trying to find the angle and framing.
I couldn't exactly capture what I wanted, cause the traffic lights in Malaysia are stupid. only allowing one direction to travel at a time and it was quite light and so, very little traffic. Wanted the red lights of the cars, but like what I said, the traffic lights are stupid, little traffic and insufficient time to go round to the other side of the towers, so just made do with the headlighs of the car.
